Not all imported docs show#66

I’ve imported a number of documents to YNAW, and most of them are showing up in the wiki structure; however, a number of them are not. However, when I check the drive folder, they have been created in the folder. The wiki does not show them, though.

I’ve tried refreshing them. If I import again, I have duplicates in the drive folder.

Is the only way to solve this, going through and finding the ones that do not show up, deleting them in drive, and trying to re-import until they do show up?

Or is there a max file limit that per wiki that I’m hitting?

Hi @Keelan Cook thanks for raising this, and I apologize for the inconvenience.

I beleive this issue is caused due to import being done by copy, which can occasionally timeout.

A ticket is open to fix this, and is scheduled to be available mid-march. https://ynaw.nolt.io/17

A temporary fix is to move files directly into your wiki folder in Drive and ynaw will be able to access them.

Sounds good. I’ll give the temp fix a try. Thanks Grant. Looking forward to seeing how YNAW matures. Tons of potential!

Hey @Keelan Cook, one thing I’d like to check with you.

When you are doing an import, which of the following would you prefer:

  1. Import by copy
  2. Import by move
  3. Import by reference (single file, but visibile in both existing and ynaw folder)
  4. Choose your own top-level wiki folder

Or a combination of the above :)

Thanks!

Sure thing. I see the benefit of all of them. I think my use case would primarily be your import by reference category. But there may be instances where I would use the move or choose your own folder options.

The copy is most often less helpful, as it will just take up extra space in the drive account, unless it is a docs, sheets, or slides file. Any PDFs or other file formats will eat up space.

Agreed, thanks for the insight Keelan.

If you don’t mind me asking, do you have a specific “wiki” folder setup currently?

Or are you importing from various locations?

Thanks :)

Hey @Keelan Cook Just so you know you can now choose your own folder.

Example:

I’m still going on the other options.

i have the same issue. docs that i ‘move’ into a folder do appead in that location in the wiki. i haven’t tried to copy the docs since i don’t want to have to name them again. is there a document index that drive keeps?

I’ve pushed up a fix for >100 pages in a folder not showing.

If this is still an issue though let me know!
