Unable to Create Wiki from a Shared Folder - Endless Loading#563

Summary:
Users are experiencing an issue where attempting to create a wiki from a folder shared with them results in an endless loading screen, preventing the successful creation of a wiki.

Description:
When trying to create a new wiki on the You Need A Wiki (YNAW) platform using a folder from a shared drive, the process does not complete as expected. After selecting the shared folder to create a wiki from, the system perpetually loads without successfully establishing the wiki.

Steps to Reproduce:

Create or access a folder within a shared drive.
Go to the wiki creation page: Create Wiki from Existing Folder.
Navigate to ‘Select a folder’ > ‘Shared drives’ and select the intended folder.
Observe that after selecting the folder, the system continuously loads without completing the wiki creation process.
Expected Behavior:
The user should be able to select a folder from a shared drive and successfully create a wiki based on that folder without encountering extended loading times or system hang-ups.

Actual Behavior:
After selecting a folder from a shared drive, the system enters an endless loading state, and the wiki creation process does not complete.

Impact:
This issue hinders the ability of users to utilize shared drive folders for creating wikis, limiting the functionality and flexibility of the YNAW platform, especially in collaborative environments.

Evidence/Confirmation:
The issue has been replicated and confirmed through testing, where the same endless loading behavior was observed following the outlined steps.

Recommendation:
A thorough investigation into the wiki creation process, specifically when using folders from shared drives, is recommended. The issue may involve permission checks, integration with the shared drive API, or other technical aspects of folder selection and wiki creation.
