Pro Plan Status Not Updating for Pre-Upgrade Invites#556

Summary:
Users who were invited before an account was upgraded to Pro Plan are still seeing the ‘Upgrade’ button, indicating they are not recognized as Pro Plan users.

Description:
When the primary account upgrades to Pro Plan after inviting users, the invited users’ accounts should automatically be upgraded to reflect the new plan status. However, users invited prior to the upgrade are not experiencing this automatic update and continue to see prompts for upgrading, despite being part of a Pro Plan team.

Steps to Reproduce:

  • A user signs up for a free account and invites additional team members.
  • The user subsequently upgrades their account to the Pro Plan.
  • The team members who were invited prior to the upgrade log in but still encounter the ‘Upgrade’ button, indicating they are still on the free plan despite being part of a Pro Plan team.

Expected Behavior:
Once the primary user upgrades to Pro Plan, all previously invited team members should automatically have their accounts upgraded to reflect Pro Plan status, removing any prompts to upgrade.

Actual Behavior:
Invited team members who were added before the primary account’s upgrade still encounter the ‘Upgrade’ button, implying they are not recognized as Pro Plan users.

Impact:
This issue affects user experience and can cause confusion about the subscription status, potentially impacting user trust in the service.

Workaround:
Currently, there is no known workaround that users can implement themselves. The accounts need to be manually upgraded by the support team to resolve the issue.

Recommendation:
It is recommended to review the upgrade process flow to ensure that all users invited by a Pro Plan account receive the benefits immediately after an upgrade is applied, regardless of when the invitation was accepted.

Additional Information:
The issue has been identified by the support team, and manual upgrades are being performed to provide immediate relief to users. A systematic fix is needed to prevent future occurrences.
