Description:
I would like to be able to render youtube/loom videos in pages.
This should be possible if we intercept and render the iframe.
Dang, that was fast!
How do we implement it? I’ve got some docs with plain (hyperlinked) YouTube URLs sitting around, but they haven’t changed to embedded video players yet. Do we need to use the embed code?
Correct currently it works with embeds.
Is it annoying to setup embeds for each link?
It is doable to enable it for plain links, but I didn’t want rule out people who actually just want a link in their doc.
Hmm - good point. It’s not overly annoying. Compared to Notion or ClickUp, it does represent an extra step that has to be taken - but since you’re using Docs as the editor, I’m not sure if it’s even possible to add something like Notion’s automatic dialogue that asks if you want to simply paste or if you want to embed. I think using the actual embed code might be the best solution here!
Ahh ok I see what you mean. I’ll see if there’s a way I can remove that extra step. Give me some time to get back to you.
Any Updates? Can you also let us display the Embedded Trello cards?
I didn’t understand how to embed a youtube video
is it possible to embed videos now?
How about auto embed youtube links, nd if someone just wants to add the hyperlink to the video, they can with [] eg. [youtube.com/xxxxx] or something like this?
Other wiki systems also auto embed, which is much more convenient.
Would be also great if the wiki system can read the browser width and make the embed as wide as the browser width. Especially on mobile a gamechanger, else the video embed is always either so small or to big.
