Description
When I’m looking for a piece of information
I want to search in a search bar for the information
So I can find it

Current behaviour
No way to search for information

Expected behaviour
A way to search for information -> preferably with some partial result in the search, not just a title.
Also the ability to press up, down and enter on results.

Definitively the missing piece to make YNaW a great service : )

Definately missing. I know I can open in Google Drive and search but then I’m out of YNAW. No real point in going back. Just continue working in Drive.

@Grant - Hi - we chatted a week or 2 ago about this feature. I believe you mentioned it would be live in 1-2 months (from 2 weeks ago). Just checking in to see if this is still the case. Thank you!

Yes it’s still the case. Currently working on making imports better. After that is team drives, then it will be search.

Instead of (or at least in addition to) say doing you own search… is there some way you could offer an Algolia integration? That’d be a pretty cool shortcut.

The new version which includes full text search is available now to test.

Go to your desired wiki > settings > enable Search V2.

Enabled V2 by default for all wikis.
Added content matching support for: docx, xlsx, pptx, html, pdf

Search V2 is now deployed, some minor updates are still being worked on for mobile and wiki.page results.

V3 will be worked on at a later time to cover additional feedback:

• Direct navigation to result text with highlighting after clicking on search result
• Show multiple results from same page
• Show folder context (or breadcrumb) in search result
• Search across multiple wikis

Algolia integration will possibly be worked on as a separate ticket.
